TN: 2008 Altano Reserva Quinta do Ataíde Douro

It's been about 16 months since my last note on this. In that time I've had this once prior to this bottle, about 8 months ago. It was really tight then and I wasn't sure if it was going past it's best. This bottle has shown it was just in a phase, as now it's a rich lively wine. Full of tar, rounded prominent tannins, dark slightly tart fruit. This is now showing more full bodied than in the past and appears to really melding together 5 years later. I've got a couple left and I think I'll leave them be for a few more years before checking back in. A really solid 100% Touriga Nacional wine.
