OK all you buggers (what ever that means  ) what are your suggestions for April.

IIRC, there was metion of an 1987 VP, just to compare against 1980.....

87 is fine with me too, I could revisit either Offley or Fonseca Guimaraens.

Not that it's the same thing at all but the Malvedos is 1987 as well.

If only I hadn't sent my 6 pack of Vargellas 87's off to boarding school until they grow up a bit we could have had a 3 bottle horizontal

I absolutely up for a 1987 theme as our next virtual tasting. I'm hoping that after the April VT we will all be better able to answer Roy's question about whether we think 1980 or 1987 is the best of the "poor" decalred vintages.

I've got Niepoort in halves, Vargellas (a single bottle bought specifically for this tasting) and the Fonseca Guimaerens.

I bought the Fonseca today. It was the last bottle standing with a bright spot over it. I hope the black glass did its job! I did not have many 87 VP, Offley, Taylor and Noval Nacional so far I think so this one will be interesting to follow all discussions.
