I was thinking along the lines of any Lagrima white Port. Since its summer I always enjoy a nicely chilled Lagrima on occassion. Yes, no, or other suggestions?

Andy,

What would be the difference between a Ligrima White Port and any other type of white port? I'm not that up to speed on the whites, having only tried one (Taylor's White - not great. Dry. Didn't know about it back then, but could've used some tonic and mint leaves.)

Thanks,
Todd

Lagrima are sweet white Ports and are VERY different than dry whites. most are cheap, under $15-20 (US) Think a ruby, but the white version of it.

Lagrima in Portugal means "tears" referring to the drop they make sticking on the glass.

Sounds a good idea to me Andy

So, I just came upon a Krohn Lagrima in the store the other day and was going to look to see if I could find out what the heck it was. It sounds like it's a candidate for some tasting in July!!

I'm assuming that if it says Lagrima on the bottle, that this is what we're looking for?

Rich,

You are spot on - if it says Lagrima then it fits the bill.

Rich,

I've had that one before and I look forward to hearing how you like (or not like ) it.
