Article on Quinta de Vargellas

For those who are erobertparker subscribers, there is a very intersting article on Quinta de Vargellas in the Neal Martin Wine Journal with historical information as well as verticle tasting notes. And a fun story about the effect of using spirits distilled from coal (?) behind the iron curtain to fortify the early 1970's wines. It's nice that they can now choose their own better quality spirits.

Could you send me the article?

Since Parker is not reliable for rating port, I suspect most people on this forum do not subscribe to him. So few people will see what sounds like a nice article.

The article is copyrighted and therefore is not able to be copied by a subscriber and then shared. I know it would not make me happy and therefore I would not do it. I am a very new subscriber over there as until Squires put out his article on the Douro, I felt no compulsion to pay up, even though I've been a very steady poster on Port, Madeira and a plethora of other wines since mid-2002. But one has nothing to do with the other.

Axel,

As I have now sent you numerous emails to please change your USER NAME to no avail, I hope by reading it here (in case your email address has changed) you will be so kind as to adhere to the REAL NAME policy. I have very much enjoyed your great posts and replies and hope you will continue to want to post here as your sharing is valued!

Roy

thanks for reminding. I thought that giving the real first name would be enough. Copyrightwise I agree and will try to subscribe at parker as well although I like your articles about port much better and agree that yours are much more reliable.

All the best to Port and Prost

Axel
