Frederick allowed my suggestion to stand in August, so you guys get to choose the theme for September. Knowing that Fred will be in Portugal, I am trying to give him a hand here and see what you would suggest for next months VTR selection.

I had an idea for September, how about revisiting the 83 Vintage. It is a widely available and cheap VP that gives great pleasure!
Of course oder ideas are welcome, lets have a debate :type:

Fred,
I love the idea of an '83 tasting. I happen to have one '83 Gould Campbell in the cellar which needs to be sampled and was looking at the Graham's from that same year.
I concur with '83!

Todd,
Skip the Graham's and please do try the 1983 Gould Campbell. I just might have to do the same thing. It will be my last bottle (over labor day weekend) before cold turkey for nearly a month. Yikes.

Roy,
Thanks for the heads-up, although I have to be fair and warn you that I MAY ignore it in favour of trying to sample as many "older" VPs as possible.
Being that for every bottle of Graham's '83 I can afford to buy TWO '83 GCs, it is a no-brainer from a financial perspective, I will try the GC first and see if it lives up to your TN expectations.

I think, and hope, so. Perhaps Fred is not around at the moment and we should get this one started up? (I just came back from holidays myself and find a lot of catching up to do on the forum!)

I'll try and take part in this virtual tasting. I have a couple of 1983 ports that I had intended to keep for a while but can sacrifice one of these. Plus I'll also copy and paste my Cockburn '83 note into the thread since I was still drinking that on Saturday September 1.
