A friend saw this and passed it along. Not sure what magazine or online place, so I can't give attribution.

The wine critic Mark Squires raised the score of ‘Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa 2011’ to 97 points in a review for the Robert Parker Wine Advocate.

Since its first edition in 1998, ‘Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa’ has conquered the status of one of the great Portuguese wines, having received top reviews in the national and international press over recent years, Quinta do Crasto pointed out in the wine press release.

Originating exclusively from the vineyard Maria Teresa, the century-old vineyard that gives it its name and one of the oldest of Quinta do Crasto, planted at extremely low levels and with an excellent sun exposure, this “single vineyard” wine is a Douro DOC red wine super premium range that is only bottled in years of exceptional quality and always in very limited quantities.

‘Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa’ was only produced in the years 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013.

Every year, Quinta do Crasto produces in the Douro one million and four hundred thousand bottles of Douro and Port wine of various categories, 25% of which are destined to the national market and the remaining 75% destined to export to about 50 markets, located in five continents.

I'm not a points chaser, I buy what I like.....that said, glad I've already got a bunch in the cellar as I'm sure the price will go up a bit now, LOL!

One needs to be a points leader--find the good stuff before everyone else does. Sounds like you did o.k. in this case Andy.
