TN: 2014 Luis Seabra Xisto Cru Douro red

Previous Niepoort wine maker now with his own project.
Decanted 3.5 hrs which is needed for this Douro red. Dark red colour. Subdued aroma of dark berries and oak. Full body. Powerful taste which at first was dominated by acidity, then in the middle part more pleasant and towards the end to some degree elegant. Berries could have been more evident. A bit too much acidity for my taste. Medium length aftertaste. Prefer his Xisto Cru white above the red. 89 pts.
