Martinez 1908? - 3/1/06

This ancient and re-corked bottle was aquired a few weeks ago from Bonhams
The handwritten label is very difficult to make out, but "'08 " is the most likely bit at the end, and the remains of the original cork tells me that it is MARTINEZ VINTAGE BOTTLED.. but then the cork has broken!
It came with bottles from 1908 and a 1912 that had similar neck tags, except that this one has been torn off.
So a bit uncertain, and to end the mystery, I'm going to drink this one at a small dinner party on Jan 3rd.
Venue wil be the Coach and Horses pub at Newport near Saffron Walden. Easy access from both Liverpool St and Stansted airport.
This will be a casual restaurant meal - not a formal tasting. I will be putting this and a few other bottles on the table, I am hoping others will either bring an unusual bottle to share, (fortified or otherwise) or make a donation towards the restaurant bill.
Please let me know if you want to attend!
