I was at a port tasting tonight, did 12 of the 2003 VP's (will post on those soon as I get my notes in order). I saw this and thought I'd give it a try soon so I picked one up. I was curious if anyone has tried this one yet?

The label says it is exclusively from the grapes at Quinta de Roriz. Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, and Touriga Nacional. Label also says "Prazo was the name given to Quinta de Roriz during most of the XVIII century."

Thanks.

I've had this a few time... a nice little wine for the price, but quite "international" in style; almost reminded me of a ripe Zin.

I enjoyed it, although not what I necessarily look for in Portuguese table wines.

Marco,

Thanks for the information. I just decanted this for an hour. A very dark purple all the way to the rim. The nose was a very pleasant with blueberries, and a hint of vanilla and leather. The palate is a bit thin but still has enough flavors to keep me interested, and surprisingly little heat! My only complaint is it's a bit weak on the finish. Considering this is less than $10.00 (US) this is a good deal on a Douro red.

Yes, it does remind me a little bit of a Zin. More so on the nose though and not so much on the palate. For those that are wondering, yes, I would buy this one again.
