I drink a lot of Port but I can happily say that I haven't had more than 5 or 6 profoundly corked Port's in my life. Of those 5 or 6 corked bottles, 3 were 1977 Dow's.

A friend recently told me that 1977 Dow's has a history of corked bottles, is this true? It sure seems the case to me.

Got 1 out of 3 Dow's 1977 that was corked so far.

At the BBR offline last August, both bottles of Dow's '77 were corked.

I had two in the past year but dozens were clean as a whistle.

I have had more issues with 1983 Cockburn's than any other. 4 bottles in the past few years (2 in a row with Nicos ... my bottles!). But when they have not been corked, I love the Cockburn's.

I know, it was shocking! I have drunk probably around a dozen bottles of 1977 Dow, with only 1 being corked.
