Jamie Goode has some interesting notes, and Douro pics, in his new piece.

The 2007 Duorum Vintage Port is very good. I rated it a little higher than he did.

Loved the pictures of the Quinta!

Very interesting, thanks for posting the link. I really like some of their dry wines, I'll try to taste the VP for sure!

Bob,
Thanks for the link. I've only had their 2007 VP, and although Glenn liked it a little more than me, it was a very nice bottle that should continue to do well down the road. I'll have to keep my eye out for their other wines and Ports.

Their VP has a unique taste to it, but compared to the big boys, their vintage is a little flimsy; not as tannic. It will be a good port for the shorter term aging. I actually went back to their both a few times to try their VP as it was more approachable than the likes of Taylor, Fonseca, and Noval.

So far, Duorum should hold their head high for what they produced all considered. They may price themselves a little too high with their suggested retails, but we'll see.

As reported here some months ago (and in the FTLOP newsletter) this fine new joint venture shows a lot of promise. The 2007 Vintage Port is for real.
