Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Yes, I was a bit surprised by the price for the 2011 VP. It's great stuff, but may be a bit hard to swallow at a higher price than what I paid for Taylor, Niepoort, Vesuvio, etc., and the same as Fonseca, Noval, and Dow.

So I didn't look too closely but do I need to buy 5 cases from that seller over a year or pay $150 a year if I don't?

Actually 45 bottles, or 3.75 cases.

I wish them success at those prices, but I don't think I will be buying any of it.

Most are good prices, yes the 10 year is WAY overpriced. The whole "You must buy from our store XX number of bottles per year" is a deal breaker. I want Tedo and I don't want to be forced to buy a ton of other stuff I don't want or be forced to pay an extra fee.

I've seen a lot of the products offered locally.

No, as I read it, you can buy one bottle from them at the listed price. If you join their club, you get lower prices. But joining the club requires you to buy 5 cases or pay $150.

Ah ok. I hope so I wouldn't mind picking up a few things then.

FYI, their tawny at $20 is a really good Port. far better than almost all in this category IMO.
