2016 Noval Nacional

Suckling also gave this 100 points, as he did the Taylor 2016 VP too.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

I can't seem to get Nacional 2016 from my UK supplier. Did get myself a case of Taylor 2016 however :)

I know from the 2016 - 100 point Taylor's thread that you also have it rated very highly. So it begs the question. Do you have the Nacional above the Taylor's? [friends.gif]

Even though I am not a subscriber and thus cannot see the actual scores from Suckling. You can see the ranking order by sorting the 2016 vintages from highest to lowest score. The Veusvio that low is surprising to me.

It could just be me, but I've never found any empathy with Suckling's scores..

A very BIG +1--I've never aligned with his palate.

Plus after his poor Guest Corner stint it just seems like he's "mailing it in"---no weight to his opinions.
Any Port in a storm!

Nacional is expected to be a top scorer and top price. Are more going to buy Nacional because it was 100 points vs 96 points? I don't think so. Nacional disappears quick either way. The score does not matter.

Want to trade? I'll give you a 1991 Nacional for a 2016 Nacional.
