2 x Ferreira Dona Antonia 20 year tawny.

Stumbled across these at the local supermarket, probably mispriced, at 35 USD :winebath:

6 x 2017 Graham's The Stone Terraces

This time I called the store (it's in Portland) and confirmed while I was placing the order over the internet. Pre-arrival, so I won't see these beauties until at least Feb 2020, but at least this time I got 'em.

Bought 2 bottles to share while in Porto

2000 Niepoort VP, a bit sleepy at the moment though you can sense the slumbering power
1985 Warre's VP, a ray of sunshine and drinking wonderful at the moment though quite a few years from full maturity.

Also snagged a second Warre's 1970 on auction since it was being sold way to cheap. Got it at 140$ which is an great price around these parts.

+6 more, this time from Mountain View, CA. I have another lead to explore, too.

It seems strange that I'm having more luck with US stores this time instead of UK stores. Sure, the orders I'm placing in the US are pre-orders, but I'm just not seeing the 2017 hit stores at all in the UK.

Right now I’ll bet all orders everywhere are pre-arrival.

There is much more demand for the 2017s. The UK is giving the allocation to those who buy the most 2017 Pots or are their best customer. For example, one merchant told me straight up what had to do to get those high end gems:

The Capela needs to be sold with 4 cases (6x75) of other 2017 ports

The Vinha Velha has to be purchased with 5 cases (6x75) Croft 2017 as this is how it is sold to us.
