Recent sips!

In case discussion ensues, here are links to the TN section on Ports I have recently enjoyed:

Krohn Colheita 1958 was great.

Fonseca VP 2003 was also great.

Quinta do Crasto VP 2003 was enjoyable but not as nice as my previous memories of the bottle have been. I'm not sure all was right with the bottle. Must try it again soon as it has been a nice QPR VP.

Otto,

I assume you read the back label carefully, but typically I find almost all Colheitas bottled in the past 40 or 50 years do have the date of bottling listed. There are a few examples where I have found that not to be the case. Did you search the labels carefully for this info?

Luc,
Check your bottle again. I have had the Barros 77 twice recently and the bottling date is in tiny font type on the small barcode label.

Yes, but that wasn't all that the wine was, in my experience. For me, it had impeccable balance despite being caramelly and sweeeeet. :)

Roy, unfortunately I didn't get a peek at the label. This was in a big tasting and in such a hurried atmosphere I forgot to ask such an important question as the bottling date. Sorry for being so thoughtless. ;)
