Looking at a something for Christmas hollidays?

Hollidays are coming, do you plan to open something?

Do you have different approach when you want to open bottles with friends or family?

LBV with family, Vintages with good friends who like the stuff :o

Well, I for one am going to open my very first bottle of Vintage Port as an early Christmas present to myself for being good. :D

Mike,

That 1980 Grahams is a great wine - have you seen Roy's tasting note (there's a link on the home page). He rates it really highly.

I also was lucky enough to drink a bottle a few weeks ago and completely agree. Its a great wine drinking well at the moment.

Let us know what you think....what a great wine to have as your first VP!

I expect to drink a lot of Port this December: I'll be hosting a "beginners" Port tasting for a group of friends, there are some LBV '95s to taste, AND I plan to open my personal Holy Grail; a bottle that I've been looking for ever since I started collecting and finally was able to buy - the Niepoort '63 VP. It'll be a nice month for sure!
