In my opinion this 4-bottle (either 375ml or 750ml bottle) collection in a single fancy case is something not difficult to find. I've noticed there are several Port Wine producers that put this package together for sale.bridgema wrote:Mike, I've seen a Taylors 4 half bottle tawny sampler selection in the UK. Again, its one each of 10,20,30 and 40 year tawnies. Not sure of the price. If I see one again, I'll note the price on this thread. Alex
They call it the "100 Years of Port" because it's 10+20+30+40. Total=100.
Actually, it's a quite interesting set :).
Purchasing this package consumers will have a chance to try all Four types of "Tawnies with Indication of Age" of some particular Port Wine Producer:
» The 10 Years Old Tawny.
» The 20 Years Old Tawny.
» The 30 Years Old Tawny.
» The 40 Years Old Tawny.
I'm not sure how those "100 Years" packages are easy to find in any given country. I've only noticed several Port producers have those fancy cases for sale at their winery-or-lodge shops in Portugal.
Of course not every Port Producer has this type of package for sale for some Wineries are out of old wines to make a 30 or a 40Y Tawny. And some others do not even have a 10Y or a 20Y Tawny, making their portfolio absent of any "Tawny with Indication of Age" !!!
