FWIW, when looking for quality Port to drink without having to spend a lot of money, my house Port for half a decade was the 1977 Warre's which I bought for a ridiculous price and went through cases of this juice. Great at that time.
Then came a lot of '94 Noval LBVs for another 5 years, along with Bin 27 when my Noval stocks ran low.
Currently it is 1987 Quinta de Vargellas but I am down to my last 6 or 7 and will probably save them to see how they show next decade.
What is next ... is the question you are probably all wondering about?
Easy ... the 1995 SQVPs offer some outstanding value for the buck/pound. Take a punt and try a few. Here in the USA it is pretty easy to find these hiding for under $20-30 from good producers. Get them while the prices are still a bargain as these certainly will provide MUCH better drinking pleasure than almost any LBV, even if you do have to spend an extra ten spot.

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
