6 x 1997 Vesuvio with OWC. Still looking for a 6-pack of the 2000 Vesuvio, preferably with OWC.

My wife got me one of those for Christmas as well! And from Porto my parents brought back an S. Leonardo 30 Year Old Tawny for my birthday. :D :D

Russ,

Unless you acquire more of these two, I would highly recommend you touch neither for at least a decade. Seriously. They are both great, but that's not the catch, they are MASSIVE today and require long term cellaring to repay you for the expenditure and patience. These should be consume in your later years of life.

I picked up a couple of each of these also, but they have been tucked in the back of the cellar for my grandson (who is only 18 months old right now)! Wish MY grandpa had done that -- never too late to start the tradition though...

Whoa... Been a while... Been pretty busy, both not drinking enough port and not being able to spend much time here.

Nevertheless, this weeekend was a 10 yr Taylor tawny and 2005 Grahams LBV. Both nice although the Taylor needed a few days to blow off some alcohol.

About time you dropped in and said hi stranger [berserker.gif] I hope all is well with you and family and glad to see you're still getting a little Port consumption in.

Glenn E. wrote:2 x 1952 Dalva Golden White Colheita from Goncalo at Vinologia. I figured I'd better get a couple more bottles before it's all gone! I'll be picking these up during the Harvest Tour this fall. :yumyum:

Also 12 x 1987 Graham's Malvedos. '87 is my anniversary year so I wanted to stock up for future parties.
I did indeed pick up the '52 Dalvas during the Harvest Tour, and the case of '87 Malvedos has finally made its way across the Atlantic and up the coast to Seattle.

Interestingly, it is a sequential case. The selos start at xxxx41 and end at xxxx52. That seems unusual even though this case was purchased directly from the lodge.

12 x Quinta da Romaneria 40 Year Old Tawny Port. An absolute stunner of a 40-year old, topping both the Kopke and the Noval in my opinion.

These arrived today along with the previously mentioned case of 1987 Graham's Malvedos and 6-pack of 1997 Vesuvio. My largest single-day haul ever!

Andy,

Nice pick up!

Glenn,

I am game to try one again, anytime you have one open. I agree the Romaneira 40 is really special. Thanks!
