Decanted about 4 1/2 hours. Ripe and rich red fruit with searing acidity and some young oak. White pepper and a bit warmer than the 2003. I was amazed at how rich the fruit on this was compared to the 2003. At dinner I preferred the 2003 better but the next morning a small taste of this showed that rich fruit had subsided and integrated better with the oak and it was a more harmonious wine. I would recommend either a very long decant if you plan to drink it soon or leave it alone in the cellar for a few more years.

I liked the subtlety of the 2004, although massive quantities of bright fruit, it was showing really well. I preferred it to the 2003, but that's just me. This is a real classic and I was several points higher in my score but Andy and I agree on the fact that this is a very solid TN bottling.
