Climate-controlled locker "self-storage" is not so common in the UK as far as i know - i am only aware of one place in London.

Re: Thoughts on purchasing Port by the case?
I haven't strictly tracked this, but I recall in auction listings at TCWC the partial case and full cases estimates are the same on a per bottle basis. I do think the odds of getting bottles in good condition are better with a full 6 or 12. On the other hand, I've specifically sought out some mixed lots for the variety. I have a 1955 Taylor that came with 1977s and 1994s. I can't afford a case of 1955, and probably not even a split. I wanted the 1994s, liked the idea of a few 1977s, and the 1955 was a bonus at that point. Oh, and now that I think about it, I have seen a few cases where all the bottles were in poor condition.Bradley Bogdan wrote:-What are people's thoughts on singles v. cases at auction? From my limited experience, the cases have seemed in better shape (ullage, labels, etc) than the singles I've seen, and I can't tell if singles go any cheaper than cases. I get the impression they don't.
