Wiese & Krohn 1863 and 1896 Colheita

Post by David Spriggs »

The Wiese & Krohn 1863 and 1896 Colheita are now available for ordering. We've tasted this twice on the Port Harvest Tour and both are amazing!
The price is £7650 per case (1*bottle of 1896 & 1*bottle of 1863) in bond from Fine + Rare Wines in the UK. Available in 8-12 weeks.

Mark Squires (of the Wine Advocate) rated the 1863 - 100 points and the 1896 - 99 points.

So the "case" is only two bottles? Even more expensive than Scion if that's the case.
No listing of the 1896 White Colheita?

What is amazing is that by bottling and selling those precious casks, (thank god we got one last taste in 2012) there will be no more shared by pipette (thief) from cask and that experience is over and done. Now just a fond memory for those that were lucky enough to experience it once or twice in their lives.
