WTSO Magnum Marathon, Tuesday 4/22
If you're only a casual WTSO browser, you might want to pay attention next Tuesday, April 22nd. They're having a Magnum Marathon, and after carefully watching the video ad that they created for the event I'm pretty sure that there's at least one Port in the queue. I'm pretty sure I saw a bottle with a Selo flash past.
During marathons they DO NOT send out the usual emails. You get one email when the event starts (9:00 am Eastern for this one, as I recall) and that's it. So you have to check the website constantly in order to see everything that comes up.
I'll be working from home during the afternoon and so will try to keep an eye on the site for that elusive Port, whatever it may be. If others do as well we might be able to flag it here on the forum so that we can all get in on the deal.

I didn't get up first thing in the morning, but must say I've been checking regularly and haven't seen a Port yet, nor a Douro that I can recall. I haven't seen the CdP that was in their teaser e-mail either. Now I'm starting to see repeat bottles from earlier in the day.

I never saw a Port, but did see a Barolo that had a Selo-like thing on it so that might have been what I saw in the video.
Saw a Vieux Telegraph CdP that was $140 but didn't buy. Probably should have, as I think it's the one we had for our 20th Anniversary dinner.

When was the Vieux Telegraph, and what vintage was it?

2011...don't recall the time. Mid-morning I think.

Be very happy you did not buy the VT 2011. I was there after the 2013 Port Harvest Tour while making my way through CndP and I can tell you, of ALL properties that I visited, the ONLY one where I bought NOTHING, except a tee shirt, was VT. Their 2011 lineup basically sucked. I have long been a fan and have tasted VT in most vintages from 1981-2005 and used to be a VT lover. Not anymore, even the great vintage of 2010, they were rather disappointing. 2011's though ... the entire lineup was really sad. Last great year, 2005 for this once fantastic producer. Other VT freaks that I'm friends with are all scratching their heads at recent releases.
As for WTSO, lots of Italian, Spanish, CA mags. I watched closely through the day. What didn't move the first time around, was recycled over and over throughout the day and into the evening (9 p.m. PST). I did wind up buying two mags.

I understand Roy and was relieved when Glenn said it was a 2011. Of CdP I have a little 1998, a bit more 2005, perhaps too much 2007, some 2009, a bottle here and there from other 200x years, and not enough 2010. I'd like to get a little more 2010, and then choice selections from earlier years. I have no plans to buy any 2011. Thank you for the specific guidance on VT.
In the last magnum marathon I picked up a 2009 CdP, a 2007 Amarone, and several mags of Chamgpagne. I ended up buying nothing this time.

We didn't buy much, either. A couple of bubblies and pinks, as I recall. Nothing else really drew my attention.

maybe opposed to Roy, I do like the 2007 VT and 2009, and ordered some 10 yet to be seen, but I certainly wont go for the 11 with a description of "sucked"!

I didn't see anything of interest... but then I'm trying not to buy lately.
