1995 Quinta do Bomfim and 1988 Quinta da Cavadinha

Post by Al B. »

I'm getting a bottle of each of these for my birthday in a couple of weeks time. Has anyone tried these? Any tasting notes to let me know what to expect or the sort of decanting time that they would peak at?

Thanks,

Alex

The Dow Q de Bom 95 is a very fine VP. I have had as many as three cases of this bought on a closeout several years ago. Down to about 15 bottles. It is ready now but will probably peak in anothe 5-10 years. It should still be great in 20+. We paid les than $20 per 750. WIth that many bottles, at that low price, it was so easy to pull a cork on one during the winter.
