TN: 2009 Casa Ferreirinha Reserva Especial Douro red

Decanted 7.5 hrs. Some fine sediments. Dark red with a tiny light rim. Deep aroma of berries/oak/minerals, and the aroma is giving an impression that this is a “classy” wine. Full body. Powerful and super elegant. Fruit/oak/minerals in a wonderful harmony. It is a well-structured Douro red with a very good acidity/sweetness-balance. Some dryness towards the end. Long aftertaste. Slightly lighter than the 2007-version. 94 pts.
