Quevedo 20 Year Old Tawny Port (bottled 2022)

Day 17 of the 2022 Quevedo Prestige Advent Calendar

Color: med tawny, red, and burnt orange. Golden orange at the rim. Finally something that looks like a Tawny Port!

Nose: caramelized fruit, cream cheese frosting, strawberry, some very ripe raspberry, and some dust. Maybe some faint stone fruits, too.

Palate: smooth entry, good acidity, some dried apricot, some faint orange pith. Off dry. Some latent heat that feels related to the acidity, not the alcohol. Some granny smith apple skin in the finish. Not sweet enough for me, but very nice.

Score: 89 points. It's very good but needs to be sweeter for me to ask for another glass. Ergo not in the nineties.
